With the high cost of gas and heating fuels and the higher emphasis on air-quality, both inside and outside the home, energy-efficient homes that are more healthy and durable have become in higher demand.  As education grows among the general public on the proper and improper ways to insulate their homes, this demand will only increase.  ISI is here to embrace this demand.

At ISI, we provide Energy Efficiency Services to the consumer and the new home builder in the form of blower-door diagnostic testing & analysis, insulation installation & removal, air sealing, ductwork sealing, repair, and diagnostics, properly venting kitchen & bath fans, and installing a vapor barrier in crawlspaces to prevent mold and moisture damage to flooring.

We offer environmentally friendly weatherization services, with superior energy efficiency, compared to the typical insulation contractor.  Our superiority shines through in our wide range of offerings; from cellulose wall-spraying, a more energy-efficient and sound deadening substance than fiberglass, to providing full weatherization of homes and offices using diagnostics tools to pinpoint and solve problem areas.

The types of services offered by ISI are not typically available throughout much of the Midwest.  Nationally, it has been proven that customers value homes with higher than normal energy efficiency. 

A Pulte Homes study suggested that many of their customers would be willing to pay up to $2,000 more for a home with improved energy efficiency.  This study was done to analyze the EPA’s ENERGY STAR program.

ISI offers cellulose wall-spray for new construction, which can save the new home owner up to 40% on heating and cooling costs, when compared to traditional fiberglass.

This ENERGY STAR program has received considerable success, although no Muncie homebuilders currently choose to participate.  Nationally, even mortgage loaners and energy suppliers participate in explaining the benefits of a highly energy-efficient house to their customers.

At ISI, we quantify the return on investment our customers receive by using our services.  We show home-owners and home-builders alike, that everyone is happier with a more energy-efficient house. 

Since the weatherized house saves the homeowner money in utility expenses, it has a higher overall worth, which translates into a higher resale price when it comes time to move!

EIM/EEM Programs

Energy Improvement and Energy Efficiency Mortgages are two of the most cost-effective ways to improve the efficiency of your home-system.  When purchasing or selling your home, if improvements are needed, such as a new furnace, more insulation, duct repairs, new windows, etc, they can be financed by your lender as a special addition to any FHA, VA, or Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac mortgage loan!

When using an Energy Efficient Mortgage (see below) home-owners are happy because the marginal increase in their mortgage payment is less than the amount they save in monthly energy bills. 

If you qualify for a normal mortgage, you AUTOMATICALLY qualify for an EEM/EIM as well!  Simply ask you lender to set you up and refer them to ISI Energy Services for the facilitation of the improvements needed!  ISI will take care of the rest.
